Charles Mann is the youngest member of our team here at Newmarket Studios. Playing a number of instruments from an early age of five has resulted in a well developed ear in music. Working mostly as a Live Sound Engineer throughout Melbourne and Victoria, his heart lies behind the Harrison console and using the tasty selection of vintage gear around Newmarket Studios. He is comfortable working with a large variety of musical genres, varying from rock, garage, punk and alternative styles, to classical, jazz, and traditional folk music. Over the years he has worked with a great selection of both local and international artists, including Kurt Vile, Courtney Barnett, RVG, Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, Touch Sensitive, Crepes, The Creeks, Skivvy, Robot Fox, Bec Sandridge, Angie McMahon, Going Swimming, The Hunter Express, WARS, Smackwater Jack, The Eyeballers, The Black Heart Death Cult, and The Bleeding Flares, just to name a few. Charles enjoys working closely with the client to provide a suitable recording environment to achieve the desired musical outcome.
